VB Construction is a general contractor and remodeler serving Boston and the surrounding communities. We exist to make building and renovating less stressful — by being the one team accountable for your project from the first estimate to the final walkthrough.
Most renovation horror stories come down to the same thing: too many hands and no one accountable for the whole. We built VB Construction around the opposite idea. We self-perform the core trades — framing, carpentry, drywall, tile, and flooring — and coordinate the licensed specialists, so one team carries your project the whole way and one team stands behind it.
We work primarily on Greater Boston's older homes — triple-deckers, Victorians, capes, and condos with decades of history behind the walls. That experience shows up in how we plan: we expect the surprises these homes hide, price them honestly up front, and build new work that blends into the original instead of standing out.
What we believe
Honest scope and clear pricing. We would rather lose a job to a lower bid than win it with a number we cannot stand behind. When something behind a wall genuinely changes the scope, we show you, document it, and get your sign-off before proceeding — no silent overruns.
Craftsmanship in the parts you do not see. Waterproofing behind tile, footings below the frost line, subfloor prep under new flooring, flashing behind siding — the hidden details are what make the visible work last. We do not cut them.
